Turkey beach destinations
Turkey's beautiful southern coastline of small coves in dramatic mountain landscapes and long unbroken stretches of sand offer many opportunities to relish beach life here. A Mediterranean climate and warm, clear Turquoise sea on the country's south coast offer seemingly endless long, lazy days of warm sunshine and opportunities to swim, sunbathe, and relax.
Kalkan is home to a small pebble beach as well as variety of beach clubs (offerring direct sea access) which can be found dotted around the bay. There are a couple of other sandy beaches just a short drive away, one being Kaputas and one being Patara. These are great for a day out if you favour a more sandy beach!

The most popular beach belongs to D-Resort Gocek, and can be used paying a daily fee. Within 10 minutes' drive is Inlice beach and the main island beach can be reached by water taxi from Gocek harbour. Several other beaches can be easily reached by car, such as the long sandy beach of Sarigerme, Izluzu beach, and east of Gocek, around 40 minutes' drive away is Oludeniz beach, arguably Turkey's finest.

Istanbul is surrounded by the Marmara and Black seas; linked by the Bosphorus with its small islands, so, even though Istanbul is not known as a beach city, it has some excellent options to offer visitors to the city. Sandy and pebble beaches can be found on both coastlines, and reasonable transport links from the city make it fairly straight forward to escape to the coast on a hot summer's day.
