Riad El Fenn is 15 minutes from Marrakech Menara airport and the easiest way to get here is by booking a private transfer with us. The driver will be holding a red sign with El Fenn written in white letters as you exit the arrivals hall.

Alternatively, you can take your own taxi but get ready to haggle. Ask to go to to Bab el Ksour - it's pronounced Bab Lxor. It's a large stone archway gate through which you enter the medina. Go through the gate, take the first street on the right and our main hotel entrance door is 5m down on the right.

If you're not staying with us, then go to Bab el Ksour but don't go through the gate. Look to the right and you'll see the doors to El Fenn's boutique. From there you can shop or go straight up to the roof terrace.

No cars are allowed in the medina so, depending on where you're staying, it can mean a long walk to a taxi. Unusually, El Fenn combines the best of both worlds: just a few minutes walk from the souks and key sites like the Koutoubia Mosque but you can get into a taxi right outside the entrance to El Fenn's boutique.

Marrakech Menara Airport is situated just outside the city of Marrakech. The modern international terminal was completed in 2019 and there are duty free shops and a variety of different restaurants and bars in both the domestic and international terminals to enjoy while you wait for your flight.

Throughout the year flights operate to and from Marrakech Menara Airport to many European destinations.

Rental Car: 

The usual rental car providers operate from Marrakech Menara Airport, however if you are staying in Marrakech centre a rental car is not required, in fact much of the medina is not accessible to cars!

Public Transport: 

By L19 Express Bus you can transfer from Marrakech Airport to further destinations within the city such as Hivernage, Bab Doukkala, Marrakech Railway Station, Jemaa el-Fna, Gueliz. The bus runs daily, every 20 minutes between 06:00 - 23:30 and costs 30MAD (about £2.50) per person for a return ticket.

If you walk straight out of the airport onto Avenue Guemassa (500m walk) you can catch a local bus into the city centre (bus routes 11, 12, 18, 20 and 33 will all stop close the Jemaa El Fna Square. A one way ticket will cost around 4MAD (£0.30) per person one way.

Taxi:

Head straight out of the terminal building and across to first car park, here you will find taxis waiting. The price of a taxi is fixed, however always agree price prior to getting in. a petit taxi (Maximum 3 passengers) should cost around 70MAD total to the medina, whereas a grand taxi (up to 6 passengers, although 4 comfortably) will cost around 120 MAD

Private Transfer: 

We can arrange a private transfer for our guests, you will be met at Marrakech Menara Airport by your driver who will be holding a red sign with 'El Fenn' written in white letters as you exit the arrivals hall. The driver will then take you straight to Riad El Fenn.
