We have just returned from a fantastic family holiday at Villa Arcadia. Our host was helpful and quick to respond when we had a couple of queries and discretely attended the villa a couple of times throughout our week to maintain the pool area. Overall, we would definitely recommend this villa. PROS: The villa is in a good location, just 5 minutes walk to the highstreet in Kalamar Bay for cafes/restaurants and a couple of local shops. It was about 20-25 minutes walk to the main town of Kalkan, which we did a few times for shopping/eating out. The villa was in a quiet location, but you can still walk down to a couple of beach clubs (Lures, Kalamar Bay, Kulube Hotel) which were all lovely. The villa itself was clean, modern, and we loved that all the rooms had a unique feature (plunge pool, top terrace etc.) the aircon was good and clean (we have heard reviews about other aircon making people ill in Turkey) and the welcome pack on arrival was generous! The kitchen is great and has everything you need, and the water cooler meant we didn't have to lug endless bottles of water from the shop which was great. Minor cons: The villa is modern in style, and whilst beautiful, is very echo-ey! There are a LOT of stairs to reach the top floors/terrace, which could be bad for people with mobility issues so beware. The villa is road side, so whilst it is in a quiet area and we didn't often feel overlooked, the glass wall of the pool is straight onto a corner junction and was often looked into by people walking by. The pool gets the sun in the afternoon, whilst the top terrace is sunny from about 9am, so there is option for both sun-lovers and shade-lovers! However, there are several trees that block the afternoon sunshine by the pool so if you're a real sun-worshipper keep this in mind. Lastly, as with most locations in Kalkan, it is VERY hilly! We found the taxis to be cheap and easy to get for the walk back from town so not really an issue, but still something to be aware of.
