Great size. Had every thing we needed especially in the kitchen. Pool and garden really well kept and comfortable outdoor furniture
What a great 2 weeks it has been here in our mountain rertreat high above Kalkan at Villa Lavender, secluded away from the noise and husle of town with the gentle mountain breeze blowing over the terrace. If you want privacy with a spacious villa to relaxin, Villa Lavendar hits the mark.
Modern, spacious, well laid out villa and only a short drive / taxi to town
Turgut & Ahmed are both at hand to assist with any issues and requests for taxis& restaurant bookings.
The small family run restaurant CURSOY on the next road down is VERY good value for moneu and well worth a breakfast visit.
We have just had the most amazing holiday at Villa Lavender with wonderful friends and will definitely return. On arrival the villa is unassuming but when you walk in you are faced with the most incredible views from the double height window of the valley and sea beyond. The open plan villa is tastefully decorated with attention to detail and high quality finishes and furnishing. All of the bedrooms are beautiful with seating areas outside, comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms. The additional bathrooms / showers are of the same specification. The living space has a large kitchen area providing everything you could possibly need including a dishwasher! There is the opportunity to dine inside or out and to relax inside or out. We experienced some incredible sunsets and starry skies! The pool area is an amazing space with comfortable sun loungers and parasols, beanbags to relax and a dining area should you wish to eat al fresco! The stunning infinity pool and well tended gardens are very attractive providing ultimate luxury. If you can drag yourself away from this amazing property we would recommend that you hire a car. We had a fantastic day out on Captain Ramazan's gulet (a lovely boat called 'Eylul'). It was excellent value for money with the opportunity to view the coast, swim in the turquoise waters and eat some delicious food. A visit to Kalkan is a must. It is a lovely town offering a great shopping experience (gifts for the family, jewellery, watches and leather bags). It has a varied choice of bars and restaurants and the locals are very welcoming and friendly. We particularly enjoyed dining at 'Coast' and 'The Fish Terrace.' The Botanik Garden Bar is well worth a visit and does great iced coffees! We would also recommend that you experience the family run restaurants up in the Kalkan mountains. The food is excellent, very reasonably priced and plentiful. We cannot recommend this villa highly enough. It is perfectly situated, comfortable and luxurious, providing your very own holiday oasis!
The view as you walk in to Villa Lavender, either day or night, is breathtaking - with the view down the mountain and the sea beyond - seen through the double height windows in this open plan, contemporary villa. Beautifully fitted out with high quality finishes and furnishing, it is also incredibly comfortable..comfortable beds, beautiful and plentiful bathrooms with good showers, a fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher with good quality crockery, cutlery etc , large comfy sofas, fantastic and plentiful sun beds, seating and parasols outside, a beautiful infinity pool...just everything you need and more, all done to the highest quality. Cared for by an almost invisible team of locals who ensure the pool and gardens are tended before you rise each morning but are on hand at the end of a phone if you need anything during your stay. The local people are friendly, welcoming and whilst the local restaurants on the waterfront were keen for you to try them, this was never heavy handed as it can be elsewhere. The food was good and in some places excellent - Korsan Terrace (great fish) and Alternatif ( great steaks) - were particular favourites. Kalkan offers great shopping opportunities (jewellery, watches and bags especially) a large choice of great bars and restaurants and pretty little backstreets to explore. Some steep hills, cobbles and steps though - so wear flats! If you can bear to leave the villa for a day, we can highly recommend a sailing trip in a local gulet (look for Cpn Ramazan and his lovely boat the Eylul) sailing the coast in luxury and swimming in turquoise waters. Just heaven A beautiful and very comfortable villa in a lovely area. Highly recommended.
Villa Lavender is more than you expect.Breathtaking from the moment you open the door. Everything was perfect. You wont be disappointed. Beautifully kept with all you need. Will be back for sure
I have just come back from a week in the Lavender villa - if a place can be better than perfect then this is the place :-) It is beautiful, roomy and a perfect place to stay with a family - the views are amazing and the facilities are beautifully decorated and perfect in every way. Miss this villa at your peril :-)
My second visit to this stunning villa and most definitely not my last. The villa is spacious, beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a holiday. The owners have really thought of everything. Can't really say home from home as its better!! The villa offers total relaxation with Ahmed on hand to look after you if anything does go wrong. He will even bring you groceries to the villa. Its in the perfect location up in the mountains with the most stunning views yet also near to the beautiful town of Kalkan. The mountain restaurants will even come and pick you up and bring you back to the villa after their delicious trout dinners.
We have just spent a lovely week here in Villa Lavender. The weather has been perfect and the location and villa really lovely. It's great being up in the mountains with the fresh air and views. Highly recommend a car to get you about. Once you've driven a couple of times you relax a bit more. The locals in the mountains are friendly and Husseyin and his wife who own the local shop just below the village are very helpful and welcoming. We recommend buying their local honey and homemade cheese...just yummy! A lovely relaxing week, so thank you Villa Lavender!
This is our third visit to Villa Lavender and it now feels even more like our home in the sun. The sun shone consistently for 7 days with azure blue sky. We lounged around the pool, read several books, visited Uzumlu to buy "Village" bread, "village" olives, "village" eggs, "village" feta and the most amazing "village" tomatoes. Still not enough time to try the Pide. We had great meals at Islamar in, you guessed it, "The Village" restaurant and Bodyam Restaurant. The local people (the Village People are an old pop group) made us welcome again and couldn't do enough for us. Ahmet was, as always, so helpful and always there when you need him. Can't wait to go again next year. Turkey is such a wonderful place to visit.
Thank you soooo much we truly had a fabulous holiday. Where do I start the villa was amazing, very high spec, everything one would need and more, fantastic views, great pool and outside areas,it met all our expectations and more. The minute we walked in it was OMG. It defiantly has the wow factor. This I must point out is no mean task for us as we have stayed in some very good five star hotels around the world particularly in Dubai so we were delighted. The meet and greet service was excellent and the staff were very helpful from start to finish nothing was too much trouble for them. They even cleaned our car for us after we got some tarmac on it from a newly tarmaced road, very impressive. We loved Kalkan a very charming resort with lovely people. The teenagers had an amazing time partying all night long in mojitos and club chocolate. We had some great food in lots of different restaurants my favourite was Sade but there is still lots I would love to try.The boat trip was very good with Farti a great day out and very reasonably priced. We loved Patara village and its very laid back atmosphere we overdosed a few times on the pancakes at Ayshas very authentic. The villa is a bit out of it but don't be put of by this it is fantastic in the mountains you really do get to see the real Turkey. A 20 minute car drive gets you down to the main resort but it is so nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of the resort to this pure tranquility at the villa. A major plus is it is cooler up here with a breeze very refreshing after the heat lower down. We will defiantly be promoting you, your staff and the villa and letting everyone we know that the villa comes highly recommended. We are 100% coming back to Villa Lavender.
I don't often take the time to write holiday reviews but on this occasion, the wonderful memories afforded by our stay at Villa Lavender, left me with little or no choice in the matter. Six of us made the journey to take up residence at the Villa and after a delayed flight we arrived rather travel weary. However, all thoughts of fatigue disappear as soon as the key opens the door of what, from the outside, appears to be a rather up market bungalow. In front of you, Marble floors and two-storey windows boasting views of the plains of Patara and Patara Beach in the distance take the breath away and give both the property and that first moment, the elusive 'wow' factor that stays in the memory long after the holiday is over. The property is arranged over three floors and is extremely well appointed with top notch fixtures and fittings but it also feels comfortable and homely, inviting you to while away the time chatting, reading, eating, swimming, dozing and just, well, chilling out really. After a while and with only a slight suspension of disbelief, it's not that difficult to imagine that this really is 'your' Villa, a feeling that makes it that much harder to leave when the holiday is finally over. The website and other reviews can tell you (and rightly so) about the great mountain restaurants to visit nearby, the classy cafes and bijou shops in Kalkan and Kas, the excellent beach at Patara and the welcoming, friendly and helpful Turkish people themselves. For myself, the abiding memory is of my regular visit to the Turkish barber down in the town. Where else can you get an expert shave with a cutthroat razor, face moisturised and lotioned, ears/nose and eyebrows trimmed with (amongst other implements) a flaming swizzle stick , a head, shoulder, arm and finger massage and a free (non alcoholic) beverage of your choice; all for the princely sum of ?3.00! For that experience alone, I'd make a point of coming back! At the end of the day, a great holiday is a shared holiday and this Villa, in this place, gave us a holiday experience that we'll talk about for years to come. I have no hesitation in giving it my heartiest recommendation.
We stayed at Villa Lavender in June this year and I can honestly say we were blown away by everything! The views are simply spectacular! The furnishings and décor are spot on, and the infinity pool is wonderful! We found all of the local restaurants to have amazing local foods, whilst the harbour restaurants had something for everyone...and very good cocktails! All waiters etc were very friendly and loved the children, even helping to look after our baby while we ate! Ahmet, the site manager was brilliant. Always around to help with anything from booking tables at restaurants, getting us fresh bread etc and arranging our airport runs. The owners of the villa were also very helpful and accommodating and gave us loads of tips of where to go and see etc! We can't recommend Villa lavender enough! We loved every moment...just a shame we were only there for a week, next time it will be for two!
I travelled with family to Villa Lavender on Kalkan mountain. We were all blown away when we arrived at night, the villa was so beautiful and had everything we needed and more! The view out the balcony when we arrived was incredible and even more stunning to wake up to in the morning. The location is perfect and all the locals were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed turkish pizza a short work down from the villa and tried a few local restaurants that were great too. I couldn't recommend anywhere more and will certainly be wanting to go back!
We stayed at Villa Lavender this July. We were immediately blown away by the space, cleanliness, helpfulness of staff and the whole villa to be honest! We would return in a heartbeat and had the time of our lives. Nothing was too much trouble from booking us a boat or a restaurant or picking up shopping from the local town. You MUST stay here.
Enjoyed our stay at this really fabulous property for a family holiday. Incredible views of the valley down to the sea. Comfortable and spacious accommodation for a large party of all ages. Villa staff really friendly and eager to please, nothing is too much trouble and every thing is done with a smile. Highly recommended.
We were fortunate enough to stay at Villa Lavender at Kalkan Mountain Villas in October 2013. The weather was beautiful and still shorts & T shirt temperature even at the end of the season. The villa is exceedingly spacious and beautifully and tastefully furnished with absolutely everything we needed. The views of the mountains and Patara Beach are simply breath-taking. The infinity pool is wonderfully inviting and the loungers and poolside eating areas give a choice of relaxing or eating in the sun or the shade. The caretaker Ahmed is wonderfully attentive and happily booked our restaurants, taxis and even our day trip on a traditional boat trip around the beautifully rugged local coastline. The mountain restaurants are rustic and quaint with fantastic local homemade food and the harbourside restaurants serve great food at very reasonable prices. If you are looking for a totally relaxing holiday in a superb location then you can't go wrong with Villa Lavender. AAAAA******
